Leslie S. Arzt, Esquire
Leslie is committed to addressing your family law needs in a timely manner. She prides herself on being responsive to clients’ questions and concerns and advising her clients of all options available. Staying open-minded and creating out-of-the-box solutions is the key to assisting her clients to resolve their family law issues.
Being a native of York County, Leslie is familiar with the legal community and peers alike. She attended Central York High School and York College, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in psychology. In 2007 she received a Juris Doctorate from the Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After being an associate attorney at two local law firms between 2007 and 2011, Leslie opened her own practice in 2011.
Leslie is admitted to practice law before the Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the York County Bar Association. Leslie is a member of the Family Law Section of the York County Bar Association, serving as the secretary since 2010. Leslie also received training to become a mediator and a Collaborative professional in 2009. As a result, she was a court-appointed custody mediator in York County for several years. She is also a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and Collaborative Professionals of Central Pennsylvania.
Leslie served as a custody conciliator in York County from April 2013 through March 2015. In March 2015, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court implemented a rule prohibiting attorneys from practicing family law in the county in which they also serve as a conciliator and/or mediator. As a result of the new rule, Leslie was unable to continue serving as a custody conciliator and mediator in York County.
Amy S. Loper, Esquire
Amy S. Loper, Esquire joined The Family Law Practice of Leslie S. Arzt, LLC, in December 2017. Attorney Loper’s experience has trained her to listen closely to client’s needs and wishes to allow her to provide them with quality legal advice that meets their specific circumstances.
Prior to joining The Family Law Practice of Leslie S. Arzt, Attorney Loper was an associate attorney with a general practice law firm in Hanover, Pennsylvania where she gained experience not only in family law matters but also in estate planning, estate administration, probate, employment law, business law, and criminal defense. While there she was assistant general counsel for a successful Hanover business.
Before entering private practice, Amy spent over five years with the York County District Attorney’s Office where she was the Senior Deputy Prosecutor for the Special Case Unit, which focused on child abuse and sexual assault cases. During Amy’s time at the York County District Attorney’s Office, Amy gained courtroom knowledge and experience, tried misdemeanor and felony cases in front of juries and judges, argued motions before judges, drafted appeal briefs, and qualified minors as credible witnesses.
Amy attended Susquehanna University where she graduated cum laude in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. In 2007 she received a Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Attorney Loper then moved to York County where she has resided ever since and has become familiar with both the York and Adams county legal communities.
Amy is admitted to practice law before the Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the York County Bar Association.
Attorney Loper remains committed to helping children who have been victims of abuse and has been an active board member of the York County Children’s Advocacy Center since 2014.
